As a citizens of Assam for long 53 years the experiences gathered is, each an every political party in power in Assam created, fostered, encouraged these kind of ""Sena” ...with an intention of whipping the bogy of suedo nationalist ! It is seen vividly from 1973 "Asom Andolan" during Hiteswar Saikia regime. Organisation s like AASU, ASJCP, and many others surfaced...to futile attempt to spread ""Bideshi Kheda". .."Non Assemese particularly Marwari and hindi speaking people targeted! ""Bahiragatak khediba lage"(Outsiders Go Back)..."Jai Ai Asom"..…then after some days and years these groups turned into money extortion team....forcefully extorted money from those very "Outsiders"!! AASU became a opportunist political group dealing in horse trading , rest of the groups vanished.Now, at the time of notorious BJP govt. with a notorious game plan to raise the bogy of suedo nationalism this ""Senas"" are born! This is the history of Assamese so called ”Thalua"" and ""Khilonjia""( meaning local and indegenous) Culture.The opposition voice is very feeble except some one or two !! Intellectuals, writers, cultural activists ....all are more or less non commital and suspiciously silent on this issue !!
